Product Description
Kalavela is a time-honored tradition of Kerala, deeply rooted in its agrarian past. This festival serves as an offering to bulls and other cattle used in farming and breeding, aiming to protect them from illness and misfortune. Initially, farmers crafted images of bulls and other animals as offerings to the Kavuli goddess in valluvanad Palakkad and kayakulam allapuzha area, seeking her blessings for prosperous crops and healthy livestock. Over time, this practice evolved into the grand spectacle of Kalavela, celebrated with immense devotion and artistry. Totemfacts created this artwork based on the story and festival, capturing its cultural significance through detailed artistic expression.
