Kerala's mural paintings, dating to the 8th century AD, are a celebrated blend of religious and cultural influences, marked by vibrant colors, intricate details, and themes from regional folklore. Influenced by art forms like Kathakali and Theyyam, these murals trace their storytelling roots to ancient Indian art, such as the Ajanta cave paintings, and reflect a distinct regional aesthetic despite global influences.

In a modern adaptation, we’ve contributed to this tradition by creating designs on wooden pieces, later digitized, including a design titled "Veeralipattu." Totemfacts now presents these designs as the "Mural Musings" series, bridging traditional techniques with contemporary access and appreciation.
